Overview
FUYL.io does not currently support mapping array-nested attributes directly when provisioning to Microsoft Entra (Azure AD). This guide is intended as a companion to the existing FUYL.io provisioning walkthrough, offering additional detail for configuring nested attributes for use as Login IDs, RFID credentials, or other attribute-based authentication methods.
Steps to Map a Nested Attribute in Entra
This guide assumes the existing provisioning steps in FUYL.io have been completed, using something like "fuylID" or "fuylRfidCredential" (to be referenced later) as the mapped attribute.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin centre as an Administrator.
- Browse to Enterprise Applications, then select your application.
- Select Provisioning, then Edit provisioning.
- Select Attribute mapping, then Provision Microsoft Entra ID Users
- Underneath the Attribute mapping table, enable "Show advanced options"
- Select Edit attribute list for [your application].
- Add a custom attribute to the schema (e.g., "fuylID") with a data type of "String".
- Save the schema changes.
- Return to the Attribute Mappings section and select Add New Mapping.
- Select the source attribute where your intended Login ID is stored (e.g.,
employeeId) and set the target attribute to the custom attribute created in step 7 (e.g.fuylId). Click OK. - Save the full attribute mapping configuration.
- Wait up to 40 minutes for the changes to propagate (or manually trigger/reset provisioning in Entra).
Testing
Provisioning might take some time (Entra makes updates every 40 minutes by default, and provisioning itself may take time).
If after 2 hours users are unable to authenticate with their Login ID, RFID credential, or other attribute-based authentication method, contact support for help in testing and configuration.
