Procedure
- Unplug the FUYL Locker from it's power source and allow it to completely dissipate any power (Wait 30s).
- Open the side panel of the FUYL Locker.
- Open the Control Door Compartment. Please note that the control door is a component that can be easily damaged by electrostatic discharge. Ensure the electrostatic discharge warning has been followed and the service person is grounded with an anti-static strap.
- Undo the two Velcro Ties that retain the Data Cable.
- Unplug the Data Cable
- Remove the Ferrite from the Data Cable
- Disconnect the Data Cable from all lock modules.
- Remove Data Cable through the Grommet in the Side Compartment
- Begin installing replacement Data Cable by connecting header 2 to the Lock Module in compartment 1 then sequentially connect lock modules 2-5/15. Ensure the correct end of the Data cable is used as the cable has the correct allowance for the control door at header 1.
- Pass header 1 through the grommet.
- To replace the Ferrite first ensure you have the correct location by fully opening the Control Door and measuring out the Data Cable against it. Slightly relax the cable toward the hinge of the Control Door then locate the Ferrite on the Data Cable where is crosses the black Velcro Tie.
- Make two loops around the ferrite and clip it closed. You should count four bands of cable on the outside of the Ferrite.
- Do up the Velcro Ties and ensure the weight of the Ferrite is taken up by the Black one. Connect the Data cable to the Control Door and ensure there is sufficient slack in the cable between the Ferrite and the PCB.Note that the Ethernet Cable MUST NOT extend past the edge of the PCB. Note also that the Data Cable MUST have an allowance of slack in the cable on the PCB side. Note also that the earth cable MUST be orientated toward the hinge. Ensure that the Speaker Wire is securely tucked away under the steelwork. Ensure none of the cable connections to the Control Door have become loose in handling.
- Ensure all cable routing is neat and secure in the Control Door Compartment. Do a mechanical check on the Control Door to ensure it opens and closes easily, locks securely and does not foul or chafe on the cables.
- Ensure all cable routing is neat and secure in the Maintenance Access Panel. Do a mechanical check on the Maintenance Access Panel to ensure it opens and closes easily, locks securely and does not foul or chafe on the cables.
