Overview
If you encounter a fault with the lock in the FUYL™ Locker Mk1 the process for removing and replacing that lock is more complicated that with our newer lockers. With just a torx and phillips head screwdriver you can access and remove the locks.
Process
- Make sure the power to the FUYL Locker is turned off.
- Using the correct driver bit, unscrew the screws holding the side panel in place. Above are the security screws used in holding the side panel one. The above photos show the location of the screws, there are approximately 15 of them to remove.
- Once you have removed the side panel, you will see the locks screwed into the chassis, these silver locks are what we will be replacing.
- Follow the wiring from the lock to the control board (can be hard to follow so take your time to get this right) and cut the correct cable tie to free the cables. This will allow for an easier swap.
- Unscrew the screws holding the lock in place.
- Unplug the two cables that connect the lock to the FUYL Locker.
- To install the replacement lock simply plug the cables into the lock and screw the lock into place. The lock installation is now complete, you may want to cable tie the cables for neatness otherwise reattach the side panel and replace the screws that were removed in step 2.
