Overview
The FUYL Lock Modules are specifically designed to be user replaceable at the request of our support team. The following guide assumes no specialty skills, though you will need a Torx T20 screw driver or bit and the locker's security keys (we provide both in the accessories kit).
Procedure
- Unplug your FUYL Locker (safety first!)
- Use your security key to open the side door
- Identify which bank of 5 bays (1-5, 6-10, 11-15) the planned replacement belongs to, and open all 5 bays using the manual release pins
- Check and remove any cables/devices connected the GPO (outlets/plugs) inside these bays
- Remove the three thumb-screws from the PDU block behind the bays you have cleared, and carefully slide the PDU backwards and away for better access to the locks.
- Remove all cables connected to the lock module, being careful to correctly release connectors with fastening clips (squeeze the clip and pull from the connector, not the cabling)
- Using your T20 screwdriver, remove the three screws holding the lock module from inside the bay in question while supporting the lock module to prevent it from falling loose)
- Remove the lock module and replace it with the new unit.
- Replace the three screws holding the lock module.
- Reconnect all data and power cables to the new lock module. Pay attention to the arrangement of the other lock modules for orientation, and ensure that any clips are securely fastened again.
- Replace the power distribution unit and gently tighten the thumb-screws.
- Close and lock the side door of the locker, and reconnect power to the locker.
- If after the locker boots up there are inconsistencies (LEDs cycling RGB or incorrect lock numbers), you may need to perform "Address Locks" from the admin menu.
