The FUYL Locker offers a secure place to store, charge, and give authorised users self-serve access to shared devices. This workflow allows admins to pre-load lockers with institution-owned devices for authorised users to check out, use for a period of time, and return to the FUYL Locker once they are finished.
Select a Mode of operation
The FUYL locker has two modes of operation:
- Managed Mode: In Managed Mode, users need to enter a predefined PIN code or RFID value to access the locker. This mode provides controlled access, ensuring only authorised users can charge their devices.
- Public Mode: Public Mode allows users to set their own PIN code every time they use the locker. This mode offers flexibility, allowing users to personalise their access code for each charging session.
To select the mode of operation, follow these steps:
- Log in to the FUYL Portal
- Select the Locker to manage from the connected stations list
- In the account panel on the right, find and select the Settings tab.
- Within the Settings tab, you'll find the option to toggle between Managed and Public modes. Select the desired mode based on your preference.
Setting Up Check-out/Check-in Workflow on an account
- Log in to the FUYL Portal
- Select the Account folder from the Connected Stations list
- Navigate to the Settings tab on the right-side panel and toggle the mode from Public to Managed.

Authorised users will now be able to check out shared devices from your locker.
Setting Up Check-out/Check-in Workflow for a Node or Locker
Authorised users and locker settings configurations are inherited from the Account node . If desired settings can be overridden and applied to individual lockers or groups of lockers (nodes) by selecting the node or locker at any level.
- Select the desired Node or Locker within the Connected Stations list
- Select the settings tab from the right-hand panel
- Toggle the ‘Inherited’ switch next to ‘Public | Managed’ to ‘Overridden.’
- You can now set up a Check-Out/Check-In Workflow on an individual locker or node by following the Setting Up Check-out/Check-in Workflow on an account steps above
Additional Features:
In addition to mode selection, the FUYL Locker offers advanced features to further customise your Check-out/Check-in workflow such as curfews and one reservation limits.
